Since 1996, Bill has looked after many 1st class cricketers from Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Somerset. Additionally, he has looked after many of both the Men’s and Ladies’ England teams.
In December 2012, he was appointed Chief Medical Officer of Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. His work involved providing comprehensive medical care to all the playing squad. During his tenure the Club has won promotion to the 1st Division (2013 and 2019) and won the T20/20 Competition (2013 and 2016). He demitted from this position in 2025.
